Youth Championship Highlights – April 2–5
Our 12–13-year-old athletes had an incredible week at the Youth Championships, achieving impressive time drops, personal bests, and podium finishes!
April 2: Atticus Gutierrez-Ewing (12) won the 200y Breaststroke (2:22.78). Xavier Lee (12) placed 3rd in the 50y Back (27.44). Chase Kim (13) won the 50y Back (25.25), and Ethan Reines (13) placed 3rd in the 50y Back (25.58) and 2nd in the 200y Breast (2:11.45).
April 3: Atticus placed 4th in the 200IM (2:09.62) and won the 50y Breast (30.23). Chase Kim won the 200y Butterfly (1:54.34), Ethan Reines was 2nd (1:58.83), and Aahana Tibb (13) placed 5th (2:09.94).
April 4: Atticus posted a PB in the 100 IM (1:01.47) and won the 100y Breast (1:06.79). Xavier Lee set a PB in the 100 IM (1:01.63) and placed 8th in the 100y Fly (1:00.11). Chase Kim placed 2nd in the 100y Fly (52.92).
April 5: Chase Kim won the 50y Fly (23.85) and placed 2nd in the 200y Free (1:47.34). Ethan Reines took 2nd in the 100y Back (55.17).
